Camera connectivity a feature of CES 2010

More than 2500 technology companies introduced more than 20,000 new products at this year's CES, the world's largest trade show for consumer technology which took place in January with an official attendance figure of 113,085.

Major technology trends unveiled on the show floor included 3D technology, mobile DTV, tablets, netbooks, eReaders, connected TVs, embedded internet technologies, green technology and a never-ending array of 'apps' and accessories for iPod, iPhone and Mac products.

Newly announced cameras from CES 2010 include the Samsung TL240, which has a large touchscreen and new gesture controls and the CL80 digital camera also boasts a huge 3.7-inch touchscreen OLED, as well as wireless photo sharing via Bluetooth and WiFi radios.

Also on show was the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX5, which uses GPS to geotag photos, and also records 1080i video. It's also one of the first Sony cameras to use non-proprietary technology.

Sanyo's slim Xacti VPC-CS1 HD camcorder, which shoots full HD video and takes new, very high-capacity memory cards.
