With the US event wrapped up, all eyes are now on Melbourne, where PMA Australia will present the 2010 Digital Life Expo.
The recent PMA Anaheim show looks to have been a terrific success if the 100 plus Australians who attended are anything to go by.
The PMA shows have always been about finding solutions to current problems, looking for new revenue streams to help grow your business and networking with like-minded industry colleagues. Never has this been more important than it is now.
The feedback from the attendees has been that the show really paid dividends on all these fronts. The US PMA show moves back to Las Vegas next year so start your planning now.
The Australian PMA preparations are in full swing and it too looks like it is going to be a fantastic event. The Australian show has a real focus on getting your customers excited about photography and this year will see many programs running with this specifically in mind.
Former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett will be the opening speaker at the conference.
Mr Kennett is chairman of beyondblue - the National Depression Initiative and is also president of the Hawthorn Football Club.
His appearance at PMA is being sponsored by Olympus Imaging Australia and the session will be chaired by Olympus's Mark Radatt. Mark June 3 to 6 in your diaries now!
On a truly sad note, everyone at PMA and the whole Australian photo industry send our condolences to the De Jenko family who tragically lost their daughter recently.
Our thoughts are with you.
Until next month.
Peter Rose,
PMA Director of Australian Activities.
