Digital Camera Warehouse has been named Dealer of the Year by the Photo Imaging Council of Australia.
DCW operates three stores – in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and recently announced plans to extend its network.
DCW was founded in 2001 by Tracey Beckler, who recognised the emergence of the internet as a sales channel and the synergy between the internet, photographic equipment and consumer preferences for product research and shopping choices.
Chris Morgan from Garricks Camera House (Queensland) has won PMA’s Young Achiever of the Year Award with Nathan Muller from Ted’s Cameras (Victoria) a close runner-up.
Chris and Nathan were presented with their respective awards at the PMA Digital Life Expo conference in Melbourne by PMA International president Brian Wood.
Also honoured at PMA were Fotofast’s Phil Gresham, who was presented with PMA’s distinguished service award and Ted’s Camera’s Richard Robertson, who was presented with an international distinguished service award announced earlier this year at PMA Anaheim.
Professor Des Crawley received a lifetime achievement award from PIEA (Photo International Educators' Association).
