Congratulations to Jan Novak on his 89th Birthday!
Alan Small has visited with Jan several times recently and remarked:
"I have taken Jan to lunch a couple of times in the last month or so and his mind is as sharp as ever. It is still possible to generate that familiar Czech twinkle when you speak of the photographic industry-- and the Novak wisdom is a solid as ever. He is a proud, strong, remarkable man with more facets than a diamond."
Jan has been a wonderful and enthusiastic supporter of the photo industry for many years.
As you know for more years than we care to remember, Jan Novak operated the Novak Camera House in Hunter Street Newcastle and is known throughout the industry. He served on the board of Camera House for many many years.
But the main reason I am writing is to advise that after about 30-years in the writing, Jan has finally published his book. He is so proud of it. And apparently it is selling quite well.
The book is called: "Lets add a little Oil to the Fire" and not only outlines Jan's life, but relates his many exploits in World War 11 before coming to Australia as a young man.
The book is $30.00 plus postage and I can direct you to places to purchase if people show interest.
You can't really know who proud Jan is of his book.
Congratulations Jan from everyone at PMA!
