NSW Fair Work Update

NSW employers and their employees previously covered by the NSW state award system (mainly sole traders and partnerships) have moved into the national workplace relations system. Transitional arrangements are now in place for businesses previously operating under the NSW industrial relations system. 
  
NSW Industrial Relations is providing regular information updates to assist NSW private sector employers and their workers to understand how the changes will affect them. 
 
Policies and procedures - essential for the smooth running of any business
Workplace policies and procedures provide an instrumental framework for business planning. They are essential for defining and clarifying operating procedures to ensure consistency and stability. Well written guidelines help employers manage staff more effectively by defining acceptable behaviour as well as highlighting the consequences of not complying with those policies.
