Online 6 x 4 print prices creep up in US

The average price of a basic 6 x 4 print sourced online in the US crept up slightly to US14 cents in the first quarter of 2010, according to the latest survey by PMA.

The survey found the average price of a basic 6 x 4 inch print, when shipping is taken into consideration, remained at US24 cents.

The average print was not affected by a few increases in print prices and shipping costs.

Several of the US sites continue to offer standard prints for a price below US10 cents per print.

The average prices of 7 x 5 inch prints and 14 x 11 inch prints fluctuated modestly while the average price of 10 x 8 inch prints remained the same as in April.

The survey found that with the northern hemisphere summer in full swing, many sites were advertising print discounts and encouraging ‘summer celebration moments'.

Some sites were also offering limited time discounts on prints, especially for larger quantities, without the need to sign up for any particular plan.
