Harvey Norman has launched a national photographic competition with a $10,000 ‘education savings plan’ as the major prize.
The competition, supported by FUJIFILM, the Commonwealth Bank, The Nine Network and ACP magazines, is seeking entries via the Harvey Norman website for the ‘best baby and toddler moment’.
The winner and 25 runners-up will also receive a copy of The Australian Women’s Weekly’s Happy Baby Cookbook and Kid’s Little Party Cakes, as well as a Harvey Norman PhotoCentre 16 x 16-inch canvas print.
ACP will also publish entries in several of its magazines.
The judging panel comprises Katie Page (MD Harvey Norman), Dave Marshall (MD FUJIFILM), Mark Buckman (chief marketing officer CBA), Justine Cullen (editor-in-chief Shop 4 Kids), Deborah Thomas (consulting editor Australian Woman’s Weekly, Fiona Connolly (editor Woman’s Day) and Karl Stefanovic (co-host Today Show).
Meantime, NSW-based Bing Lee is promoting a 6x4 print for 12 cents offer via 16 of its photo centres until February 28.

dont see why they gave you tips, on taking best pics, seriously the kids are cute and all but some photos arent up close like they asked, and yes they were slow in giving information, and didnt seem like they knew what was goin on -IN FUTURE DONT READ THE TIPS!

We were so thrilled yesterday when our daughter rang to say her baby daughter was one of 25 finalists in the competion can't wait for the AWW and W Day to come into shops next week.

Why is everyone being so impaitent, There would be thousands of photos to be judged!! and I dare say that there would be alot of cute babies that It would not be an easy decision to vote on the winner, but wouldn't it be great if it was your baby who won. How would you feel about rubbishing this comp then. My guess is that youwould most likley be ugreatful!!!!!

This is a farce! There are no details on the website at all! Impatiently waiting for next week...but I'm guessing there won't be a call on the 26th as promised - it's a public holiday after all...

The results will be published in the may issue of the Australian Women’s Weekly (out April 26) and the April 29 issue of Woman’s Day as well as on the Harvey Norman website.

It is now April and still no results are available that i can see. If you create a competition, perhaps you should follow up the great advertising you did with at least publishing the results

Thats a whole lot of people and companies involved for "not much" in the way of prizes. This is nothing more than an e-mail collection activity. Wonder who gets access to the emails post the comp???
